New Year... New Start? (Open)

Sophie stared at the pendant in his hand before running towards him and trying to take it from him. When she couldn't get it, she looked at it, terrified before collapsing on the ground. "It destroyed everything..." She mumbled.

Keni looked at her in shock. "Explain. Now." Keni told her, his voice taking a similar tone to one of his many senseis'. He wanted information, and he was gonna get it.

Sophie felt tears in her eyes, she didn't want to tell that story, that was the one thing she had never told anybody. She stood up and instead of telling him, she decided to go for the exact opposite. She pushed herself past him and through the door, running as far away as she could.

Keni sighed, pocketing the pendant. He then proceeded to chase Sophie down, managing to keep her in site as the two left he hospital. Once outside, Keni picked up his pace, and slowly began to catch up with her. Multiple times, he shouted her name, trying to get her attention.

Sophie carried on running, not even hearing Keni calling her name. She had no idea where she was going, but she sped up slightly, for no reason that was clear to her. All she knew is she had to get as far away from that pendant as possible.

Keni grunted in frustration. He was running as fast as he could, and he still wasn't catching up to her! However, Keni didn't slow down. Sooner or later, he knew that she had to stop to rest, and he was in better shape than she was. Keni smiled a bit. He'd catch up to her in the end.

Sophie kept running, speeding up even more. She still had no clue where she was going. She kept going until, she fell over a rock in the ground. She landed laid flat on the ground, with a cut on her forehead and all over her arms. Her jeans were ripped and her knee had various cuts on them too.

Keni slowed down when he came across Sophie's form sprawled on the ground. He then hefted her up and carried her wordlessly back to the infirmary. Keni's glare was fierce, almost as if he'd been angered, and the orange aura was slightly more visible around him, though the few students walking around didn't seem to notice.

Sophie struggled against Keni. She looked up at him to see he seemed angry with her. She kept struggling, trying to break free. "Let me go!" She yelled at him.

Keni shook his head, his grip not loosening any. "Not until we're back at the infirmary. When we get there, you're gonna tell me everything." Keni said, his voice like steel.

"No! Let me go!" She shouted. All of a sudden she seemed terrified of him, as if he would hurt her. She pushed herself away from him, trying to break herself free of his grip.

Keni looked down, noticing the sudden change in Sophie's behavior. However, he merely tightened his grip on her as he stepped back into the infirmary, his sandals making a distinctive clack on the floor with each step.

Sophie kept fighting against him. "Let me go!" She almost screamed as she tried to break free. She kept fighting as a silver colored glow seemed to surround her. She felt tears in her eyes, out of fear and kept pushing herself away.

Keni looked down at the silver glow, but didn't release his grip. Shortly after, they arrived the room Sophie had been assigned to. There, Keni released her and quickly closed the door, standing in front of it. "Sorry to have to do that to you, but it was the only way. Now, don't try anything funny and I'll keep my distance." Keni said to her, his entire body tensed and ready to move at a mere moment's notice.

Sophie collapsed onto the floor and watched the blood drip from her forehead onto the floor. She stayed there, trying to get her breath back and feeling tears run down her face. She was terrified. But why? Why was she so scared all of a sudden?

Keni continued to stare at the girl, his body ready for action. However, he didn't make a move to help her... he wouldn't, until she said so. Keni's mind was focused on one thing, and that was the girl laying on the floor in front of him. Keni allowed himself to shake his head. What had he gotten himself into this time?

Sophie sat there, crying. She was still trying to get her breath back too. She stood up and walked towards the window. She looked down to see her hand was covered in the blood from the injuries. She carried on walking towards the window, which just seemed to get further and further away.

Keni continued watching Sophie, slowly moving toward her as she walked away. "Sophie?" Keni allowed himself to speak out her name, hoping to wake her from the trance-like state she was in.

Sophie just carried on walking. She was oblivious to the fact that Keni had just called her name. Why was she only getting further away? She felt more tears fall down her cheeks and blood drip down her arm. Still, she kept going towards the window.

Keni sighed, shaking his head. He reached out slowly to grab Sophie, not sure exactly what would happen... or why she had stopped moving...

Sophie stopped and looked around. Why was everything so dark? Why was everything so far away from her? It was like she was on a desert island, far away from everything else.

Keni's hand finally touched Sophie's shoulder. She looked around, and Keni saw here eyes were glazed over. He shook his head. Hopefully, his touch would snap her out of it...

Sophie felt someone touch her shoulder. She stopped and looked down. She saw the blood dripping from her arm to form a pool on the floor. She grabbed the hand on her shoulder and held it, before collapsing and watching everything go black.

Keni sighed, picking Sophie up and laying her on her bed. He quickly bandaged her wounds, and set he pendant on the bedside table. Keni then took to sitting in the same chair again, his look unreadable. Clearly, she wasn't as okay as she stated. Keni shook his head again.

Sophie turned and stirred in her sleep before opening her eyes to see Keni in front of her. She reached out to him, pretty unaware of what she was doing. She took his hand and tried to pull him closer to her, before she closed her eyes again.
