Spice it Up [PLOT THREAD, Open to Kouhai Attendees]

Post by Minor Tarot on Sun Sep 22, 2013 4:55 pm

So this is what a school looked like... certainly quite different than ones on Felek. The children here just seemed far more undisciplined and rowdy. No matter. The tarot was here for one reason only; to collect Fortune Keys for Major Arcana. They would be so pleased. Of course, she'd have to wait for the right time the strike. And what a better time than to have everyone in one room. She'd make sure that it would be an opening ceremony that the students and staff of Kouhai would never forget. Ah but, not yet. After all, it would be so rude for her to interrupt speeches, and there were a lot of them.

As everyone settled into their seats, the youma hid behind drawn curtains on the stage, as she waited for various people to give speeches. Usually things about 'potential' and 'success' and 'destiny'. Boring stuff, but in a way, good stuff. The more speeches, surely the more students would fall asleep and she could strike. Yes yes... she'd let this go on for a bit longer.

"And may we welcome to the stage, our Headmistress, Kitty Sunhild who has a little something to say to all new and returning students,"

Kitty was preparing things in her office, she had to approve the last few students who had come in late and staff she had to replace from a pregnancy and and illness they did not warn her about before, Earthlings seemed to make things difficult. Looking at her reflection she hated this speech as much as her students and staff probably did. She brushed her fingers through the white of hair to the blue. Her nerves were a wreck, something was off this time. Calling in her security, she made she they appointed themselves all over. Looking at her reflection once more, she walked down the long hall way to the auditorium.

Her black pencil skirt, clung to her legs, her feet fitted in black pumps. Her red blouse being a tank top with a ruffle going around her V neck collar. Around her neck a small black choker with a red rose, this was going to be a good year, that was all she could tell herself. Her hands clenched the curtains as she looked out at the stage, listening to each presentation, she could recite most of them word by word. As her name was said, she took a deep breath walking out she smiled brightly into the dark auditorium and the bright lights gleaming at her. She really needed to figure something else for this set up, maybe next year the will do it out on the beach.

”Welcome to Kouhai everyone! This year I hope to see all your faces grow and mature into the young adults I know you all are. This year, like every year we want our new and old students to strive for excellence and be full of passion like the Phoenix. That burning sensation will erupt within the new and old hearts. This year let us release the Phoenix and win against our Sister school and keep our winning streak in where we excelled in last year,” taking a breath she looked around, waiting for the screen to finish rolling down, ”Here are some pictures from last year of our best and funniest times and lets hope we have many more this year.” taking the clicker she turned the projector on, letting the pictures scroll. Her right hand would rest under her chin watching the pictures, smiling at a few.

Jian sat in the row where all the staff were required to sit as he listened to the various speeches given by some of the new staff and of course, their headmistress. He did actually do what he said and got a bit of breakfast for the two teen girls before they sat down for the ceremony, but now it was time for him to actually do his job. And at the moment, that was just sitting down and listening to people. Maybe he could close his eyes for a bit and nap. Though that wouldn't look particularly great, so the young man decided he would try to stay awake.

He crossed his arms as he he listened to Kitty continue on about passion and phoenixes and probably something about living up to your potential. On the plus side, she did change it up a bit, and added a few pictures from last year, so there was at least a bit of a change.

Masako sat in the auditorium with the rest of his human schoolmates for... a welcoming assembly of some sort? He wasn't exactly sure, the gaggle of giggling girls that followed him were less coherent than usual so he was lacking a lot of information. Either way, he took solace in the fact that his sister was also in this auditorium somewhere. He felt so ridiculous in his uniform, but luckily no-one had said anything about his hat. He was pretty sure it was breaking school code but if they made him give up his hat.... Masako didn't want to think about that. He was only staring at his hands in the dark for a little while before the first presentation was announced. Though he was somewhat bored, Masako paid attention to all of them, as it was only polite. He wasn't about to let his cover be blown just because he wasn't paying attention to the important rules and regulations of this establishment.

Then Headmistress Sunhild arrived on stage and started talking about phoenixes, excelling and burning sensations, and Masako was hooked. She seemed so passionate about school and life, she'd be perfect for the new world full of justice that Masako was going to create! If he could only make her passionate about justice... Plus she had really cool-looking hair and Masako thought it'd be a waste to just take her Fortune Key and just get rid of her. Her hair was so nice, it almost reminded him of his mother's. Almost.

Sarah, after having been given her breakfast sandwhich sats near the back of the room, legs crossed, book open and her sandwhich in her hand. She had stopped paying attention after about fifteen minutes of speaches and started reading quietly once again. Once in awhile she would look up and pretend to pay attention. She would clap when it was nessesary, make sounds of agreements when it was needed. She knew how to not get caught. She always did.

Chibi-Usa sat with her breakfast sandwich, munching happily. She already had a preassigned seat, so she had to sit there, but she was okay with this less people she had to deal with. Crossing her ankles she listened to each speech. She really loved the passion of the head mistress it made her want to be a better young lady, just like her mom. So many feminine influences around her she felt lucky and inspired, but also jealous. Watching the screen roll down and the pictures and music start flashing by, it was a bit inspiring maybe she would join the photography club this year or maybe the videography club so many choices, she sighed gently.

As the pictures kept rolling through she was trying to figure out what to do for that nurse that helped her and the other girl out, she could put in a good word for him but would that be something great? She tapped her finger gently against her puckered lips, so many choices, sometimes that was a bad thing but so much fun! A chill was sent down the pink haired princess spine, something was off something was really off but she wasn't sure what it was. Starting to fidget in her seat she really didn't like this, she could feel something was off! Before she could look for that nurse or someone of authority the lights flickered out, they were in complete darkness.

Ah... what a lovely little speech. Surely it would instil inspiration and motivation in all of the students and staff. Such a shame they would not live up to their full potential, for now, it was time for her to strike!

As everyone started to clap, the mischievous youma grabbed the switch of the lights and then shut them all off as the room went dark, with only the dim light from the windows showing a slight ray of hope.

"Very nice speech! But I think it's time to get things moving along now," she cackled and then emerged from behind the curtain. She was very lanky, with a very long face and brown hair that reached down to her hips. Her skin was a bright yellow; almost the colour that you'd see on a dandelion. She wore a long purple robe, that resembled that of a wizard you'd see in a fairytale. "You may call me Wandita! Ace of Wands!" Suddenly, the youma summoned a large wooden staff and slammed it on the stage.

"New Arrival!" she bellowed as large beams of energy emerged from her weapon, flying every which way as they hit some of the students and staff. All she had to do was knock a few out, send others in panic, and she'd have her Fortune Keys no problem!

Kitty's body tensed as the lights went out, her eyes scanning the area, maybe they used too much energy or power for the slide show but that really didn't make any sense, but her eyes fell onto the voice that was speaking and crawled out of the hole it made, an audible hiss formed in her throat, ”You are not welcomed here!” she started toward the minor tarot, but she was caught up in the blast, it sending her body backwards and into the wall, slumping to the floor, she sat there looking at the being, ”This is no good, how are we supposed to protect our students now...” she sneered quietly, as her body throbbed in pain.

She hoped one of the other staff could react quickly but she was unsure about that as well, her head was spinning from the impact, but her mind was clear about the princess, they needed to protect her also or else they all would be dead. Closing her eyes, she reached for her ear piece, a communicator ,she made sure all the 'special' staff had, she hoped they had it on though, ”We need to make sure the princess is safe, or else we all will be dead.” she winced in pain, as she slumped back against the wall. That hit was strong and it really, felt like the wind was knocked out of her.

As the lights flickered out, the knight went on high alert. This wasn't supposed to happen. And this wasn't some little student prank either. No, there was something darker in the air. In a matter of minutes, a slimey sounding voice was heard and a figure from the darkness appeared was that... a youma? Youma had entered Crystal Tokyo again? But... how? There hadn't been a disturbance like them since Black Moon, and even that was a complicated issue in itself. What was going on?

There wasn't time to dwell on it too much, for in a flash, the creature started to throw out attacks. The young man jumped out of the way before the energy beam hit, but it looks like others weren't so lucky. Fine, if that thing wanted to attack, then he'd do the same. Ducking and crawling towards a corner of the room, he pulled out his pendant from underneath his shirt and grasped it tightly.

"Adamite Crystal, Power-up!" he called out as he transformed in a gulf of light and then stood back up.

"I don't know where you've come from, but I'm not about to let you ruin this school," he said, jumping back out from the darkness and facing the creature. He could only hope that the Headmistress would be okay, as well as the other students. He knew what he had to do; protect the Princess and protect those like her.

"Adamite Strike!" the knight called out as he summoned sharp adamite crystals and threw them towards the creature.

Sarah had continued to read her book until the lights went out. she blinked and looked up in alarm, seeing people paniking and what looked like people getting hit by some sort of....power? her eyes widened slightly, seeing what was going on but not quite comprehending what was happening out of fear. the book fell from her lap as she ducked to the floor, trying to keep herself safe out of fear. she would have screamed, made noise, anything, but she was too scared to do so. this sort of thing was only supposed to happen in stories, fairytales!

The Kouhai uniform wasn't completely awful, he had to admit. The cut and pattern could be better, but it's not like he's stuck in the uniform for the entire day. And there were much worse dress codes that he had encountered out in the galaxy. So much worse. Earth fashion was something to be enjoyed.

After entering the hall and finding his seat before the ceremony actually began, Chance looked around for exits and to size up the student body. He could almost feel the fluctuating tides of fortune in the hall. Earth teenagers might actually be useful. Who knew? Wait... That hat... Oh thank the gods, he wasn't alone at this school. Masako's signature piece put him in a more agreeable mood. Having to suffer life at the academy as they only Tarot member would have been Hell. Well, the hat and the gaggle of girls in the seats around Masako gave him away.

As the ceremony began, Chance sank low into his chair, stretching his long legs out in front of him and placing his arms behind his head. These things were the same everywhere. His eyes widened slightly when the white-haired woman came on stage. That was the woman who nearly got into it with Kata. That's just perfect. He could hope that he would never get recognized, or play both sides of the field. He began to zone out again, contemplating pros, cons, and odds of the outcomes for either course of action. He found himself staring a hole into the back of another student's head when the youma attacked.

"...Wandita... Really? That name by itself could knock someone senseless," he muttered to himself after the first attack. "But now things will be interesting."

The pink haired princess really hated these things, they were boring absolutely boring. She didn't even have anyone near her she could talk to, or chit chat but these people were smarter then that and probably figured that out, she slummed in the chair. Looking at the pictures, but that moment of a sudden chill struck her hard and the lights going out made her blink. Trying to adjust to the darkness that surrounded them, the youma appeared and the voice made Chibi-Usa cringe, she really didn't miss this but all at the same time she did.

Moving around slowly she slipped down to the floor this was pathetic for a school full of magical beings there was no one attacking, but soon as that ran through her mind she heard an attack bellowing toward the enemy. Peering over one of the chairs, she tried to make out who it was but that attack wasn't very familiar either, sighing gently she pulled out her brooch, [color#E0218A]”Eternal Pink Moon Power, Make-Up..”[/color] the glow was gentle, standing up feeling more in power, she adjusted her wand, ”Royal Pink Feathers!” a flurry of pink feathers were swarming around making their way to the youma.

Makoto had been sitting with the other teachers watching the slide show. She chuckled lightly at the one picture from one of her class's the year before. The exploding cookie incident had been the talk of the school for a couple weeks. Ami and Rei had said it sounded a lot like something that Would have happened to poor Minako when they were younger. She was snapped out of her thoughts when the lights went out.  Her eyes moved around the auditorium as she scanned every corner looking for an incoming threat or anything else. When the attack happened the brunette dropped to the ground out of her seat. the blast cut a few pieces of hair from her ponytail before she was off and moving towards the back of the room. As soon as she was far away from everything she pulled out her henshin wand. "Jupiter Eternal Power, Make Up!" in seconds she was clad in her Green and Pink fuku. "You will not be allowed to harm these students!" she called before closing her eyes and crossing her arms. "Supreme Thunder!" her eyes narrowed at the youma as soon as she shot off her attack.

Things were going the way that Wandita had planned, a simple operation and maybe a chance to snag a few of the Fortune Keys as well. The real delight was in the chaos that she instilled as students went into panic, trying to reach the doors and escape. She let out a sharp, high pitched laugh. She'd finish up here and make her leave.

Things quickly took a turn when a fool stepped from the shadows and challenged her. Maybe this would be more fun now. A smile cracked her lips, "Then come and save it, child." Wandita slid to the side, moving away from the crystals but it was the next two attacks that caught her off guard. Slamming into her and sending her reeling back, almost losing control of her staff. "You don't play FAIR." She screeched, enraged and in pain she turned her focus to the Headmistress. "I can cheat too." Wandita stepped over to the Headmistress, attempting to lift her up by the front of the shirt. "So much for the school year~. Ahehe."

His time at this school was only temporary, but Masako felt himself filling with school spirit. With the cooperation of his classmates and the staff, Masako would make Kouhai the best academy in all of Japan! And then the Tarot would take all of the Fortune Keys of everyone and everyone would be happy. Well, he would be happy and his sister would too. The lights turned off and everything was dark. Hmm, that was strange, but maybe something was wrong. It was the first say of school so things were bound to go wrong.

Masako was not expecting a youma today, especially since he didn't summon it. He looked around to see if any other members of the Tarot could have summoned... Wandita was it? Their names got worse and worse. The youma attacked and Masako quickly crouched to the ground as the girls around him screamed and panicked. He slowly bobbed and weaved his way through the chairs and and screaming people pushing towards the exits. He saw of flash of pink out of the corner of his eye, but he just assumed that was one of his classmates. He'd seen a pink haired girl wandering around the school grounds.

Walking while crouching was hard enough, but Masako was also not watching where he was going, so he tripped over a pair of outstretched legs. He scrambled up and glared at whoever tripped him, only to see Chance nonchalantly looking ahead. A million questions ran through Masako's head, the most prominent one being 'Why was he even here? Kouhai was Masako's turf! Very annoyed, but still somewhat happy that he had another member of the Tarot keeping him company, Masako yanked on Chance's sleeve. "Did you summon the youma?"

Sarah's eyes widened in shock before quickly starting to crawl towards one of the exits, too freaked out at what she was seeing happening. Crawled under chairs before standing up and running towards the closest door, passing by chibi usa, after she saw her transform.

"..what is going on..?"

At the very least, the youma seemed to be succeeding in creating a chaotic mess. Attacks were flying; bright lights flashed. The auditorium was an ocean of messy panic. It was sort of beautiful in its own way.

Chance was brought back from his roving gaze as someone tripped over his legs. He looked down to see Masako on the ground and watched him as he picked himself up. He could see a mix of shock and resentment in the face of his fellow Arcana. It was almost amusing. And then came the accusation. Chance arched a brow and gave Masako a look up and down. "How could you say such a thing? I'd have gone with a better name than 'Wandita', don't you think? At least she seems to be doing her job."

He laid down across the chairs, hands behind his head. It was then that Wandita took the Headmistress by the collar. "So should we join the fun, or wait it out?"
