"Keni!" Sophie cried.
She felt a surge of power inside her. She held Keni up gently.
"Keep still," She told him.
A knife appeared in her hand and a bolt of her power ran through it.
"I'm sorry if this hurts... Power Strike!" She dislodged the crystal with her knife forcing it out of Keni.

Keni cried out in pain again, but the crystal shattered, and Keni's skin began to slowly heal, a mix of orange and silver glowing, replacing the skin. Keni held his should rigid, as the bone was re-grown. Keni gritted his teeth in pain, but it was soon all over. Keni was still pale, but slowly regaining color.

Sophie smiled.
"Are you okay...?" She asked, hesitantly. She still had tears pouring down her face.

Keni nodded. "Yeah... but I do have a complaint for the manger of the afterlife... mine sucked..." Keni said. He then looked over at Sophie. "Gimme a few minutes, and we can practice controlling your power..." Keni said, managing to get on one knee before collapsing again.

"Keni, don't please," Sophie told him. She felt more tears run down her face.
She pulled him into a hug.
"Don't hurt yourself, please!"

Keni shook his head. "Who said it hurts?" Keni asked. "The pain's mostly gone... must've lost too much blood. I'll be at 100% in no time." Keni replied, returning the hug.

Sophie cried some more, her tears dripping onto his shirt.
"I'm so sorry!" She moaned, clutching him tightly. She never wanted to let him go, it was strange.

Keni did the only thing he could think of: he patted her head. "For what? Jumping to the most logical conclusion and risking your life for my stone?" Keni asked. He shook his head. "While it was stupid, I do appreciate the gesture." he told her. "Now, can you do me a favor or two?"

Sophie nodded at his question as she forced herself to move away from him.
"Anything, what is it?" She asked, tears still fresh on her face.

"Well, you letting me go was number one..." Keni said, struggling to his feet. Though he was unsteady, he managed to remain standing. "Number Two... Let's not tell anyone about this, okay?' he asked, staggering over to a tree and leaning on it.

Sophie sighed. She got up herself and followed Keni, she held him up, trying to help.
"Why not?" She asked, curious.

Keni shook his head. "Well, mainly because I'm fairly certain the school would hate to hear about how two of their students almost died. Second of all... well, I said some things that should've leave this area..."

Sophie was confused.
"What things?" She asked.
"What things?" She asked.

Keni shook his head. "Do I have to repeat it?" he asked, his face slowly turning red again. He didn't even know he said it the first time until it was too late!

Sophie looked at his red face.
"Say what again?!" She was so confused now.

Keni sighed. "About you being more important than this stone." Keni said, finally not relying on a tree to stand. He swung a test punch, amazed at how thoroughly his shoulder healed. "Amazing. Like I never had a pebble imbedded in there..." Keni said, rotating the shoulder.

Sophie was really confused now. That stone had unbelievable power in it. How was she more important? She was just some kid who had gone and bothered him simply because she wanted to learn martial arts. She smiled though, happy to see Keni was feeling better. So she meant that much to him? Well, she was honestly the same, he meant so much to her too. She didn't even really know why, he just did.

Keni finished testing his reflexes with his healed arm out. He then looked over a Sophie. Keni nodded. "Well, I guess it's time we start you with some practice, eh?" Keni said, taking out his Agate Stone and holding it in a manner that suggested he was gonna transform.

Sophie watched him before noticing the stone. She shook her head and sat down by the tree.
"I don't want to..." She said. She reached down and laid her hand on the grass. She gently pulled at the grass, scattering pieces of it everywhere.

Keni shook his head. "Well... I guess we don't have to today... but we do need to start soon, especially if you wanna learn to control your new power." Keni said to her, sitting down in a meditative position. He surveyed the clearing a little more. The spot that he'd been painting with his blood looked like he'd never even bled there. Keni then saw a stump of a tree. Keni surveyed the stump and saw that it wasn't very wide. Keni smiled. Perfect. He got up, and walked over to the stump. He then stood on his right foot, taking the same pose he'd used in the earlier bout with Lawrence.

Sophie sighed. She didn't want to at all. She grabbed her pendant and a warm glow surrounded her before she was back in her ordinary clothes. She glanced at Keni and shook her head.
"So proud, aren't you?" She muttered, walking over to a tree. She slumped herself down beside it and stared at the pendant that was still glittering in her hand.

Keni hopped down from the tree stump, landing on both feet, though he almost fell down. Keni moved over to where Sophie was. He looked down at her, before sitting beside her. He shook his head. "What exactly do you mean?" Keni asked her. Somehow, she looked even more-- Keni stopped that thought right there. He shook his head. What was wrong with him?

Sophie shook her head.
"Nothing." She muttered. She stared at the pendant in her hand for a while. She then took it and placed the chain back around her neck. She sighed, leaning back on the tree, hoping that the day would end soon. She was simply fed up.
